Hi Everyone, 

We’d like to thank everyone who has given us amazing feedback. Your input has been invaluable. We’ve published an app update on both Google Play and the Apple App Store! 

Here are some update notes for the app:
- Disabled zooming
- Added language selector under "settings"
- Added Traditional Chinese and Japanese as language options
- Home Page now tells you if your Pangolin device is Offline
- Relevant save buttons and switches should now be disabled when your Pangolin device is offline
- Buttons and switches go transparent and are disabled while they talk to the Pangolin device
- Pangolin device update notifications when there is a device update available
- Session is now saved even if you close the app and re-open it
- Pangolin devices ordered by name for accounts with multiple devices

And, here are a couple other things we updated thanks to your feedback:

  • Improved scope of compatibility with more mesh network types
  • Improved scope of compatibility with different ISP network configurations

Hi everyone,

We just wanted to give you a quick update to share that all units have been shipped, except to the Philippines. 

This is due to a logistics ban that has been imposed on the country, but we’ve found another way to deliver the devices.

On another note, if you are still waiting for your tracking email, you may want to check your Kickstarter message inbox, as some email addresses used bounced when we attempted to send the tracker email.

 For all of those cases, we have sent the tracking info and number to your Kickstarter inbox.

We’re excited that a lot of you have already received your units and have been using the device on your networks. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]

Hi everyone,

We’ve already begun sending out your packages since last week, and so a number of you will have already begun to receive the tracking codes in your email inboxes.

In case you’re wondering why you haven’t received the tracking code email yet, it’s because we’ve been shipping in smaller batches, as we’ve been strictly testing each device before we ship out due to the previous issue we had with a manufacturing batch. 

We’re erring on the side of caution because we want to ensure that every device that comes out of the box works as promised. Please continue to keep a look out for those tracking codes, as we’re sending more out on a daily basis as the packages go out to everyone.

On a special note, we have unfortunately run into an issue with the current logistics solution we have contracted with, as we’ve been told that delivery to certain countries has been halted due to COVID-19.

We are already sourcing and in talks with other logistics providers to get the packages to all our backers, and we are prepared to bear the higher costs of shipping in these strange times. We will continue to update accordingly here.

Hi everyone,

The replacement batch from the factory arrived over the weekend, and the units and packages are in much better condition than those received last week.

We are also running an extra process of QC and QA in our Taipei office to make sure the overall quality is up to standard.

That means that we’ll start shipping units that pass this final quality check process in batches from tomorrow morning. We’ll also be sending out tracking codes individually as the packages begin to ship out.

We’re over the moon that we can finally start shipping out your orders to you. Please keep a lookout in your inboxes for your tracking codes, which will be sent this week.

Hi everyone,

We received the shipment into our Taiwan office today, and were, for lack of a better word, shocked when we conducted our packaging checks.

When we opened the large boxes that the individual units had been shipped in, we came to see that there were damages on the packaging for the individual units. We also noticed scuffing on some of the shells that were inside the packages. Our hearts sank to the floor.

We’d like to share some photos of what we saw:

We’ve had to make the difficult decision to deem this initial shipment unworthy of mailing out to customers. We have clearly told our manufacturing partner that such a job is unacceptable and they are in agreement, and are recalling all of the units that were shipped last week.

A new batch fresh off the line will be shipped tomorrow, and more care will be taken in packing and handling them. We will then start mailing them out early next week after we’ve again checked the quality of each individual unit that has been sent over.

This means that we will unfortunately have to delay sending the packages to you for another week. We were truly excited to start mailing out the first batch of units to our backers and pre-orders today. However, we simply cannot, in good conscience, mail packages to customers that have damage on them.
